Three plans. One standard of care.
Every plan includes managed WordPress hosting, updates, security, backups, free migration and a named UK expert who knows your site. You choose by the type of site you run, not by how much attention you want.
What every plan includes
Many WordPress care plans sell tiers of attention: the cheap plan gets automated updates, the expensive one gets a human. We do not work that way. The eight things below come with every plan. The tiers only change the hosting underneath your site and how often we back it up.
Website audit
Before we touch anything we check how your site is built, how it performs and where it is exposed. You get the findings in plain English, with a list of what we will fix first.
Managed WordPress hosting
Your site runs on dedicated servers that we manage ourselves, with server-side caching, a CDN and a current version of PHP. We tune the server for WordPress, not for whatever else happens to be on it.
Free migration
We copy your site from your current host, test it, and switch it over at a quiet time. No downtime, no lost data and nothing for you to do.
Security and protection
Firewall and brute-force protection at the edge, hardening at the server and a security layer inside WordPress. Malware scanning runs continuously. If something gets through, we clean it up.
Updates and fixes
WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, tested on staging where an update carries risk. When an update breaks something, we fix it rather than roll it back and hope.
Optimisation and monitoring
Caching, compression and Core Web Vitals tuning, uptime monitoring around the clock, and a monthly report so you can see what we did and how the site is performing.
Backups and recovery
Daily backups at a minimum, stored away from the server that runs your site, with a second copy in storage you control. If you need a restore, we do it.
Hands-on support
One hour every month for fixes, tweaks and content changes, from a named contact who already knows your site. Need more? £70 an hour plus VAT, billed in 15-minute blocks, or a 5-hour block for £300. Anything over an hour is quoted before we start.
The three plans
The plan you need depends on what your site does. A brochure site, an online shop and a membership site put very different loads on a server, so each gets hosting to match. The care is the same on all three.
Plan 1
Standard Sites
Brochure and information sites. No ecommerce, LMS, membership or heavy custom functionality.
- Optimised managed hosting
- Daily backups
- Everything listed above
£76 a month, or £816 a year (save 10%)
One-time setup £149
Plan 2
Ecommerce Sites
WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and SureCart stores.
- Higher-specification hosting for cart and checkout traffic
- Hourly or real-time backups available, so you do not lose orders
- Everything listed above
£125 a month, or £1,356 a year (save 10%)
One-time setup £249
Plan 3
LMS & Membership Sites
LearnDash, MemberPress, Tutor LMS and similar logged-in platforms.
- Higher-specification hosting for logged-in traffic that caching cannot help
- Hourly or real-time backups available
- Everything listed above
£155 a month, or £1,680 a year (save 10%)
One-time setup £349
Prices exclude VAT. Very high traffic, multisite or unusual requirements? Ask for a custom quote. Want every feature side by side? Compare the plans.
Why this costs more than a £30 care plan
If you have priced WordPress maintenance before, you will have seen plans from £30 a month. They are a different product. Most do not include hosting, so you keep paying your host on top, and the fixes are where the extra invoices start. This is what typically sits behind each option.
| Budget care plan | Large managed host | Freelancer | The WP Support Agency | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hosting included | Usually not. You keep paying your host. | Yes | No | Yes, on servers we manage |
| Updates and security patches | Yes, often automated | WordPress core only. Plugins are your problem. | When you ask | Yes, staging-tested where needed |
| Fixing what an update breaks | Extra cost | Not included | Hourly | Included |
| Who answers when you email | A ticket queue | A ticket queue | One person, when free | A named expert, one of 45 clients |
| Backups you can restore | Varies | Yes, on their platform | Rarely | Yes, with a copy you control |
| Content changes and tweaks | Extra cost | No | Hourly | One hour a month included |
Add up hosting, a care plan and a developer’s hourly rate for the fixes, and the gap closes quickly. More on how we compare.
How switching works
- Choose a plan and sign up
Monthly or annual, paid by card, cancel any time. Not sure which plan fits? Answer a few questions and we will tell you. - We audit your site
We go through how it is built, how it performs and where it is exposed, then send you a plain-English report with the fixes in priority order. - We migrate it
We copy the site to our servers, test it properly, and switch it over at a quiet time. Your visitors do not notice. - We look after it
Updates, monitoring, backups and your monthly hour start straight away. You get a named contact and a monthly report.
Change your mind in the first 30 days and we refund you. See the refund policy.
One of 45, not one of thousands
We cap our client list at 45 sites. That is the number one small team can know properly: who built each site, which plugins are fragile, what the owner cares about. When you email, the person who replies has worked on your site before. Automation handles the monitoring and the backups. People handle everything else.
Our clients rate us 4.9 out of 5 on Google. Read about how we work.
Questions about the plans
Do I have to move my hosting to you?
Yes. Every plan includes hosting because we cannot take responsibility for speed, security and uptime on a server we do not control. Migration is free and we handle all of it. If you are tied to your current host for now, get in touch and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
What does the setup fee cover?
The audit, the migration, setting up caching, security, backups and monitoring for your site, and fixing the problems we find on the way. The first month is the most labour-intensive part of the relationship, which is why we charge a setup fee rather than offer a free trial.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Monthly plans have no minimum term. Annual plans are paid up front at a 10% discount. Either way, if you leave within the first 30 days we refund you in full.
What counts towards the monthly hour?
Anything hands-on that is not already part of the plan: content changes, layout tweaks, plugin configuration, small fixes, advice. Updates, security, backups and monitoring do not use it up. Beyond that, time is £70 an hour plus VAT, billed in 15-minute blocks, or £300 for a block of 5 hours to use over 12 months. If a job needs more than an hour, we tell you before we start.
Do the prices include VAT?
No. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout at the current UK rate. VAT-registered businesses outside the UK can enter their VAT number at checkout.
My site has a shop and a members’ area. Which plan?
The higher of the two, so Plan 3. Membership and LMS features put the biggest load on a server because logged-in visitors bypass most caching. If you are unsure, answer a few questions and we will recommend a plan.
My site gets a lot of traffic. Is there a plan for that?
If you see more than about 100,000 visits a month, run a multisite, or have unusual infrastructure, ask for a custom quote. We size the hosting to the site and price it on that basis. The care is the same.
Do you work with web design agencies?
Yes. We run a white-label service for web design and digital agencies who want their clients’ sites hosted and maintained under the agency’s own brand. Contact us to talk it through.
